LA TORRE (THE TOWER) is easily recognizable because of its architecture.

Created in 1993, as a dream with the aim to join the scientific and the Human discipline to the life service. A service like a calm improvement of the existence in all of its fullness.

Study Center and center of investigation of the illness with a high social schock: neoplasies, autoimmunity and virus illness.

Is a private society wich works oferring public service in fullness freedom.

Collaborating with public and private Italian and foreigners Institutes

  • in the didactics
  • in the pharmacological and biomedical search
  • in the removal of its purchases for the clinic.

In this field has stipulated a convention with:

  • The University of Genova, Antropological Science Department

Is a regional center:
-" Healthy Towns Associations" for the information like a primary prejudice;
-The Mediterranean University "René Cassin", for the service of the culture and the peace for the basin of our see (Non lucrative Association, law 1901)

It has:

  • a Bioethical Committee ( member of the National Federation of the Bioethical Committees),
  • a specialistic out-patients' department
  • a Psychological Assistence Center for the patients and their families
  • A Post Universitary Trainning School about the Oficinal Plants as part of the biogenetical patrimony for the conservation, the study, and the valutation

At LaTorre the patients are not the aim, they are the main characters. Their needs and their ideas about the troubles caused by the illness are the main aims of our works, without any conditioning and prejudices.
